Dilatometer (DIL 402 Expedies Select, Netzsch)
Dilatometry is an analytical technique to determine the dimensional changes in a material as a function of temperature, while a sample is subjected to a controlled temperature program in a specified atmosphere. DIL 402 dilatometer is equipped with a dual pushrods system that enables doing measurements in a dual or a differential mode. The maximum sample temperature is 1150°C, the range of heating rates is 0.001-50 K/min. The system is designed for testing samples in both vacuum and inert gas atmospheres (nitrogen, argon or air). A number of standard samples made of alumina (10, 15, 25 and 50 mm length) are available in the lab. For more information – Dilatometer
